Like the other Mythical Pokémon, Jirachi is not great at raiding, but it does see use in PvP. Jirachi is not available Shiny and doing this quest will not yield a Shiny Jirachi. Thus making it a less viable option of the two sets.Jirachi is available to players in Pokémon Go who complete a quest called “A Thousand-Year Slumber.” The Mythical wish Pokémon is only obtainable through a set of Special Research Tasks.Īs with the other sets of Special Research Tasks for Mew and Celebi, read through this list before you get started, as some of the requirements involve using tons of candy or special items that may be hard to come by. Tl Dr: Jirachi doesn't have the proper ability + moves to run a doom desire set. It's clunky at best and impossible at worst. For Jirachi to accomplish the same EXACT THING, it would have to set up the doom desire, set up a wish, and then magically receive the wish BEFORE it's doom desire goes off which means it'll be hit TWICE and STILL not pincer the Pokemon. However, Jirachi doesn't have reliable enough healing like Regen. Get hit and teleport out basically for free because of regenerator, and go right into chomp for the tag team. The point is pincer the opponent between jirachi's special attack and, for example, a garchomp's physical one. The second reason is Jirachi's survivability, which you pointed out inadvertently. It doesn't matter about how hard you hit, if your opponent NEVER can hit you back. Which is okay for iron head because you're abusing para-flinch. The first one is steel ISN'T the best in offense. Also, the reason WHY future sight or doom desire isn't used is a two fold. True but we're also looking at the more viable option.ĭoom desire while hitting harder, theoretically, doesn't have as much viability because of jirachi's ability.
